§ 39. Sir I. Fraserasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in carrying out the proposed further reductions in the Civil Service, he will give special consideration to ex-Service men in non-established posts.
§ Mr. H. BrookeIf temporary staff have to be discharged on redundancy it will be done under the arrangements laid down in the National Whitley Agreement on the order of discharge of temporary staff on redundancy. This Agreement incorporates the long standing pledge that ex-Service men of the 1914–18 war shall have preference for retention in temporary Government employment.
