Standing Order 224, line 20, at end insert:
(2) The Examiners may inquire into compliance with Standing Orders 62 to 68 at any time after the Order for the examination of the Bill.
§ The first four Amendments on the Paper are of a drafting nature. The Amendment to Standing Order 224, dealing with Hybrid Bills, would enable the Examiners to inquire at a single sitting into compliance with all the Standing Orders which are applicable to the Bill, instead of having to hold a second meeting to inquire into Standing Orders 62 to 68. The Amendment would remove an anomaly which arises from applying to Hybrid Bills a procedure which is appropriate for Private Bills.
§ Question put and agreed to.
