§ Sir D. EcclesNearly 1,000 full-time teachers were recruited to the staffs of institutions of further education during the year ending March, 1955. I cannot say how many of these were trained in the technical teacher training colleges, but about 165 teachers from these colleges have taken their first posts in further education establishments in each of the last few years.
