30. Mr. Gresham Cooke

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation the length of the new diversionary road round Gatwick Airport from the Brighton Road A23; and how long it will take to construct.

Mr. Molson

The length is 2⅔miles. It is estimated that the new road will be completed in the summer of 1957.
