HC Deb 17 July 1956 vol 556 cc1043-4
Mr. Gaitskell

May I ask the Prime Minister whether he has any statement to make on business?

The Prime Minister

Yes, Sir. We propose to afford facilities for the consideration of two Private Members' Bills which have reached their concluding stages—namely, the Lords Amendments to the Hotel Proprietors Bill, and the Report and Third Reading of the Sanitary Inspectors (Change of Designation) Bill.

We hope that there will be an opportunity of considering these Bills tomorrow, Wednesday, at the end of business already announced for consideration.

Mr. Gaitskell

The Prime Minister will, of course, appreciate that there is an exceptionally long list of Measures already down for consideration tomorrow and that we cannot possibly give any undertaking that these additional Measures will be reached.

The Prime Minister

I quite understand. I think that the list tomorrow is long rather than formidable, but no undertaking has been expected.
