I beg to move, in page 24, line 13, at the end insert: (10) Nothing in sections four and six of the Policies of Assurance Act, 1867 (which put on assurance companies certain obligations in relation to notices of assignment of policies of life assurance), shall be taken to apply to any contract approved under this section. This Amendment is simply to keep the Statute Book clean. If it were not made there would be an inconsistency between this Finance Bill and the Policies of Assurance Act, 1867.
