asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he will make a statement on the siting of the proposed new married quarters at St. Mawgan Airfield, Cornwall.

Mr. Birch

I regret that I am not yet in a position to make a statement.

Mr. Hayman

Will the right hon. Gentleman bear in mind that it is now over two years since his officers first met the county planning authority for Cornwall? Does he not consider that the hesitation and delay justifies the county council in feeling that the married quarters ought to be sited at St. Columb Minor?

Mr. Birch

I am aware of the point which the hon. Member has in mind, but the future of the units at the station is not yet decided.
