HC Deb 03 July 1956 vol 555 c1153
46. Sir W. Anstruther-Gray

asked the Minister of Works what response he has received to his appeal for the loan of classical statues and busts to occupy the niches of the Orangery at Kensington Palace.

The Minister of Works (Mr. P. G. T. Buchan-Hepburn)

I have received about forty offers of busts and statues, some of which may be suitable for the Orangery. I have not yet, however, obtained sufficient pieces for a satisfactory display. I am very grateful to all those who have made offers.

Sir W. Anstruther-Gray

Is my right hon. Friend satisfied that his appeal has received sufficient publicity?

Mr. Bechan-Hepburn

Yes, I think so.
