HC Deb 02 July 1956 vol 555 cc972-3
27. Mr. Collins

asked the Minister of Health what effect the economy cut of £573,000 in the National Health Service, under the heading of Civil Defence, will have on hospital units, built or to be provided as part of the Civil Defence programme, but which are now or would be used by regional hospital boards as part of their bed complement.

Mr. Turton

None, Sir.

Mr. Collins

While thanking the Minister for that reply, may I ask him whether he can say under what heads the economies referred to in this Question come, and if the reply is too long, will he undertake to publish it in the OFFICIAL REPORT?

Mr. Turton

That is another question, but I will certainly answer it if it is put down.
