THE VICE-CHAMBERLAIN OF THE HOUSEHOLD reported Her Majesty's answer to the Address, as follows:

I thank you for your loyal and affectionate greetings on My return from My visit to Nigeria. The warmth and variety of the welcome displayed by all My peoples there have been very moving.

My husband and I have been pleased to see for ourselves something of the Nigerian scene and the beneficent changes taking place there in which both Nigerian and British are proud to play their parts.
