HC Deb 09 February 1956 vol 548 cc1793-4
31. Major Anstruther-Gray

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether he has now received sufficient information regarding the costing of inshore fishermen to allow an increase in the white fish subsidy as it affects this branch of the industry.

Mr. Amory

Arrangements have been made with the representative organisations of the inshore fishermen to collect before Easter additional information on costs and earnings, and in accordance with the undertakings given in the debate on 19th December the data collected will be taken into account in the framing of the subsidy proposals to be laid before the House in respect of the period beginning 1st August next.
