HC Deb 06 February 1956 vol 548 cc1317-8
6. Lieut-Colonel Lipton

asked the Attorney-General when the Report of the Royal Commission on Marriage and Divorce was sent to the printers; and when he now expects that it will be published.

The Attorney-General

Copy for final printing was delivered on 26th January. I am not in a position to say when the Report will be published.

Lieut-Colonel Lipton

As the Government have had more time than was expected to consider the Report before publication, may we have an early statement about the Government's intention, or what action they propose to take on the Report?

The Attorney-General

No doubt a statement will be made when the Government have received the Report and considered it.
