I beg to present the following Petition: To the Honourable The Commons of The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland in Parliament assembled. The Petition of the undersigned residents of London and the Provinces humbly showeth, That believing the practice of vivisection on living animals with or without anaesthetics to be morally unjustifiable, scientifically useless, dangerous and demoralising to the community, earnestly pray your Honourable House to pass a Bill withdrawing the sanction of the law from the practice. And your Petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray, etc.
