§ 39. Mrs. L. Jegerasked the Minister of Labour what is his policy regarding the liability to National Service of Cypriots who come to this country after having served in the police force in Cyprus.
§ Mr. Iain MacleodA Cypriot who takes up residence in this country normally becomes liable for National Service after he has been here for two years. This liability would not be affected by any previous service in the Cyprus Police Force, but the question whether such service may count towards the period of whole-time National Service is under consideration.
