§ Mr. AlbuCan the right hon. Gentleman confirm whether it is a fact that the vacancy is still being advertised at a salary lower than that paid for comparable positions in national museums dealing with other subjects? If that is the case, is it not a very invidious comparison?
§ Sir D. EcclesThe salary is £2,325. It is somewhat lower than the salary paid, for instance, to the Director of the British Museum, but I think that we had better see how we get on with the applications.
