Resolution reported,
That it is expedient to amend the law with respect to the National Debt and the Public Revenue, and to make further provision in connection with Finance, so, however, that this Resolution shall not extend to amending the enactments relating to purchase tax otherwise than by reducing any of the several rates of tax generally for all goods to which that rate applies.
§ Resolution read a Second time.
§ Bill ordered to be brought in upon the said Resolution and upon the other Resolutions reported from the Committee of Ways and Means and the Resolutions reported from the Committees on Finance [Exchequer Advances] and Finance [National Loans] and agreed to this day, by The Chairman of Ways and Means, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Mr. H. Brooke and Sir Edward Boyle.
