HC Deb 23 April 1956 vol 551 c1424
5. Mr. Dodds

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what developments have taken place resulting from the assignment of the patent rights of frozen milk to the National Research Development Corporation for the commercial explotation of the invention; and what advantages are derived by the process.

The Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Mr. D. Heathcoat Amory)

I understand that the National Research Development Corporation is receiving applications for licences to exploit the patent, has already granted one, and is prepared to consider the grant of further licences on a non-exclusive basis. Advantages of the process are that the product, which is indistinguishable from normal pasteurised milk, is easily transportable and can be supplied where fresh milk is not readily available.
