asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs the number of refugees who have entered free Berlin from Eastern Germany in the last twelve months.

Has the number not increased rather than otherwise in recent months?

This figure is higher than the figure for last year. The total number for the last twelve months is approximately 280,000 into both Berlin and Western Germany. That figure is higher than the number for the calendar year, 1955, which is 252,000.
