HC Deb 12 April 1956 vol 551 c382
38. Dr. Stross

asked the Minister of Labour whether he has noted that the new design of dust extractor developed by the British Ceramic Research Association gives greatly enhanced protection against pneumoconiosis among towers and fettlers in the earthenware industry; and if he will take steps to make the installation of this form of dust extraction compulsory in all factories.

Mr. Carr

My right hon. Friend is informed that the dust extractor referred to has given excellent results. Factory inspectors have been instructed that exhaust arrangements in potteries should conform to the standards attainable by using this new extractor.

Dr. Stross

I thank the hon. Gentleman very much.
