HC Deb 27 October 1955 vol 545 c345
1. Mr. Moss

asked the Minister of Education whether he is aware of the dissatisfaction of parents with primary education in Allesley in the County of Warwick; and whether he will make a statement showing what temporary provision, and what permanent provision, is being made to improve matters there.

The Minister of Education (Sir David Eccles)

Yes, Sir. A hired room has been taken into temporary use for the Eastern Green Church of England School and children who cannot be accommodated there are attending the Berkswell Church of England School. I have recently approved the building of two new permanent classrooms at Eastern Green to replace these expedients.

Mr. Moss

Can the Minister give the House an assurance that these plans will not be affected by the lugubrious proposals of yesterday?

Sir D. Eccles

Yes, Sir.
