33. Mr. H. Wilson

asked the President of the Board of Trade if he will make a statement about the future of the factory on the Huyton Industrial Estate previously occupied by the Hosemaster Machine Company Limited.

Mr. P. Thorneycroft

This factory will be available for reletting in about a month's time. My Department will endeavour to re-allocate it to a suitable tenant as soon as possible.

Mr. Wilson

In view of the number of firms which are quite rightly seeking the allocation of this factory, will the right hon. Gentleman give an assurance that it will be allocated for production on a basis of giving continuing full employment in the area and that it will not be allocated for storage purposes?

Mr. Thorneycroft

I would certainly hope that we shall allocate it for productive purposes.
