HC Deb 28 November 1955 vol 546 cc1925-6
37. Wing Commander Bullus

asked the Minister of Supply what account he takes of membership of the Society of British Aircraft Constructors in placing development contracts.

Mr. Maudling

None, Sir. Contracts are placed with companies able to do the work irrespective of membership of the Society.

Wing Commander Bullus

In thanking my right hon. Friend for that reply, may I ask him to ensure that this information is disseminated widely throughout the British aircraft industry?

Mr. Maudling

I will certainly do my best in that respect, and I am sure that the Question of my hon. and gallant Friend will contribute towards it.
