§ 62. Mr. Emrys Hughesasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what steps he is taking to arrange for an exchange of information on thermonuclear weapons with the Government of Western Germany.
§ Mr. HughesIs the Foreign Secretary aware that there is considerable anxiety among the German civil population that H-bombs might be dropped on Germany from either side? Can he give the House a categorical assurance that under no circumstances will H-bombs from our side be dropped on German territory?
§ Mr. TurtonThe Question relates to the exchange of information, which seems to be rather a different matter.
§ Mr. HughesIn view of the unsatisfactory nature of the reply, I beg to give notice that I shall endeavour to raise the matter on the Adjournment.
