§ 19. Mr. Doddsasked the Assistant Postmaster-General what progress has been made in plans to convert the Bexleyheath Telphone Exchange from manual to automatic operation.
§ Sir E. BoyleA new automatic exchange to be known as Crayford which will serve part of the Bexleyheath area is at present being designed. This exchange is expected to be opened in 1958. It is proposed to replace the Bexleyheath manual telephone exchange by an automatic exchange in 1960.
