§ Mr. BirchProperties under the control of my Department are frequently inspected. The hostel at Ferryhill, which is used for storage, has been inspected three times by my officers since 15th March. Stocks are being run down with a view to the early release of the property.
Mr. SlaterIs the Minister aware that this hostel cost a great deal of money to build? Does he think that its present use is satisfactory, and when such premises become vacant are applications from factory owners and others to rent them taken into consideration, in order to bring other forms of industry to the area?
