§ 24. Mr. Blenkinsopasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will arrange for sums to be made available from the National Land Fund for the improvement and preservation of our National Parks.
§ Mr. H. BrookeMy right hon. Friend has not yet completed his consideration of this matter.
§ Mr. BlenkinsopDoes the right hon. Gentleman realise the wide measure of support there is in this House and outside for this proposal, and would he be prepared to receive a deputation on the matter?
§ Mr. BrookeYes, Sir. I will certainly consider receiving a deputation from any hon. Members in this House, but I would remind the hon. Gentleman that this matter requires legislation if any action is to be taken. It is not something that can be decided lightly.
§ Mr. BlenkinsopDoes not the right hon. Gentleman realise that this is a matter which probably could be dealt with in a Finance Act, and will that be borne in mind?
§ Mr. BrookeIf the hon. Gentleman would like to bring a deputation to see me at any time before the next Budget, I should be pleased to meet it.
