asked the President of the Board of Trade what progress has been made by the Monopolies Commission in its investigations which commenced in 1952 under Section 15 of the Monopolies and Restrictive Practices (Inquiry and Control) Act, 1948, into certain widely prevalent discriminatory practices in the retail trades.
