§ Mr. CrouchMay I ask my right hon. Friend, who has great knowledge and considerable ability, why it has taken so long for a report on these blinking, winking lights, in view of the increasing body of public opinion that they are dangerous? Some are red, some amber and some white.

Friend's supplementary question, but as regards the second part, this matter is being examined by the Road Research Laboratory, which is a highly competent body, and I think that it would be sensible to await its Report before coming to decisions.
