asked the Secretary of State for Scotland the proposed distribution of duties between the three Joint Under-Secretaries of State.

Mr. Henderson Stewart

The hon. Member for Glasgow, Craighton (Mr. J. N. Browne) has taken over the duties formerly allocated to my noble Friend who is now Minister of State, namely, housing and allied subjects, health and local government.

The hon. Member for Dumfries (Mr. N. Macpherson) has taken over the duties relating to agriculture, food and forestry.

I shall continue to be responsible for the duties already allocated to me.
