asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what progress has been made in the discussions with the delegation from Sierra Leone.

Mr. Hopkinson

The discussions with Sierra Leone Ministers and representatives of Sierra Leone Selection Trust have not yet finished, but progress has been made, and my right hon. Friend is hopeful that it will be possible to make a public announcement very soon.

On a point of order. The Minister keeps on referring to his right hon. Friend. Can we have some explanation why his right hon. Friend is not here to answer these thirty-seven Questions addressed to him?
