37. Mr. Dugdale

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies what period of imprisonment can be imposed for the offence of the publication of false reports likely to cause public fear and alarm or to disturb public peace in Northern Rhodesia.

Mr. Hopkinson

The maximum penalty for this offence is imprisonment for three years.
