29. Mr. R. Bell

asked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what further progress has been made since 24th June, 1955, in the payment of claims under Part VI of the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947, arising in respect of private sales of land.

Mr. Deedes

I am informed by the Central Land Board that, in the period from 24th June to 21st July, it had made a further 957 payments amounting to £1,003,834 in respect of private sales.
