This matter is causing bitterness not only in Slough, but in Manchester and many other parts of the country. Will the right hon. and gallant Gentleman discuss it with the Minister of Transport?
§ Major Lloyd-GeorgeI am not at all sure that it is not for the British Transport Commission to take administrative action. In any case, as the hon. Member knows, this matter is part and parcel of a very much bigger question. I do not see how we could bring about 546 this particular reform, which is comparatively small, in advance of action on other recommendations which have to be considered.
