HC Deb 20 July 1955 vol 544 c378
Mr. Attlee

May I ask the Lord Privy Seal whether he has a statement to make about the business of the House?

The Lord Privy Seal (Mr. Harry Crook-shank)

Yes, Sir. We are presenting today the Validation of Elections Bill to carry out the recommendations contained in the Report from the Select Committee relating to the elections in the Pollock Division of Glasgow (Mr. George) and the Hallam Division of Sheffield (Sir R. Jennings).

The Bill will be made available early this afternoon in the Vote Office and we propose to ask the House to take the Second Reading as first Order on Friday, before we proceed with the House of Commons Disqualification Bill.
