Resolved,
That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to enable effect to be given to an international agreement for the establishment and operation of an International Finance Corporation, and for purposes connected therewith, it is expedient to authorize—
- (a) the payment out of the Consolidated Fund of sums required for making payments on behalf of Her Majesty's Government by way of subscription for shares of stock of the International Finance Corporation under the said agreement;
- (b) the raising of money under the National Loans Act, 1939, for the purpose of providing sums to be paid as aforesaid out of the Consolidated Fund, or of repaying to that Fund sums so paid;
- (c) the payment into the Exchequer of any sums received by Her Majesty's Government from the said Corporation in pursuance of the said agreement;
- (d) the issue out of the Consolidated Fund of sums paid into the Exchequer as aforesaid, and the application of sums so issued in redemption or repayment of debt, or, in so far as they represent dividends, towards meeting such part of the annual charges for the National Debt as represents interests.—[Sir E.
