§ 9. Mr. Benceasked the Minister of Labour what steps he proposes to take to stimulate and further develop industrial health services in Scotland.
§ Mr. WatkinsonThe measures which my right hon. and learned Friend announced to the House on 11th November last for the development of industrial health services under the Factories Acts are being planned for Great Britain in co-operation with the Secretary of State for Scotland and other Ministers concerned.
§ Mr. BenceWould the hon. Gentleman advise the Secretary of State for Scotland to consult the Scottish T.U.C., and, in particular, the Glasgow District Committee of the Amalgamated Engineering Union, because they have given considerable attention to these matters, and because it would be as well in Scottish industrial matters to consult the Scottish organisation concerned?
§ Mr. WatkinsonYes, I will gladly do that. While I cannot announce the composition of the committee at the moment, I do not think that the hon. Gentleman will be disappointed.
