HC Deb 28 February 1955 vol 537 c1710
27. Mr. Gower

asked the Minister of Health what proportion in capital cost of the new hospital building programme recently announced by him will be in Wales; and what is his estimate of the number of extra beds to be provided in Wales and England, respectively.

Mr. Iain Macleod

Until I have received and considered the proposals of all hospital boards, I cannot say what proportion of the new building programme will consist of Welsh projects.

Captain Pilkington

Is my right hon. Friend aware that some very important areas have been omitted from the scheme, about which he will be receiving representations?

Mr. Macleod

I am sure that there are. I have said many times that the lists which I have put forward are not in any way exhaustive.
