HC Deb 08 February 1955 vol 536 c1724
31. Mr. Driberg

asked the Secretary of State for War what progress is being made in modernising Catterick Camp; and, approximately, how many of those stationed in this camp are still quartered in temporary huts built many years ago.

Mr. Head

Work on the four new barrack blocks is going on satisfactorily and they should be completed towards the end of next year. Further rebuilding is being planned and phased. Just under 5,000 men are in 1914–18 hutting.
