HC Deb 21 December 1955 vol 547 cc2003-4
36. Mr. Godman Irvine

asked the Postmaster-General whether, in view of the continued dissatisfaction in the village of Beckley with the postal service introduced on 26th September last, he will arrange for an investigation into the working of the present service to be undertaken by an inspector who is unconnected with the area and, in particular, to restore the previous arrangement for collections at 12.30 and 18.30 as the present collections at 10.35 and 16.15 have proved not to meet the local needs.

Dr. Hill

I am having the services thoroughly reviewed and will write to my hon. Friend early in the New Year, when the review has been completed.
