§ 1 and 2. Mr. Greyasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government (1) if he is now prepared to make a statement on the question of compensation for owner-occupiers of slum property in slum clearance areas;
(2) what steps he will take to ease the financial loss of the many owner-occupiers who have come under compulsory acquisition orders.
§ 5. Mr. Iremongerasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government whether he will introduce legislation to amend the Housing Act, 1936, in so far as it relates to compensation for property compulsorily acquired, as the present provisions are operating unjustly.
