HC Deb 26 April 1955 vol 540 c890

Order for consideration, as amended (in the Standing Committee), read.

10.1 p.m.

The Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation (Mr. John Boyd-Carpenter)

I beg to move, That the Bill be re-committed to a Committee of the whole House in respect of the Amendments to Clause 8, page 9, line 31 and Clause 8, page 10, line 46, standing on the Notice Paper in the name of Mr. Boyd-Carpenter. This Motion is required to cover Amendments to Clause 8 in my name. I put them down in order to enable me to carry out an undertaking which I gave in the Standing Committee. The re-committal Motion is also required because it is possible that the additional burden on harbour authorities may involve a charge on the rates, with a possible effect on the equalisation grant.

Question put and agreed to.

Bill immediately considered in Committee.

[Sir CHARLES MACANDREW in the Chair]
