HC Deb 06 April 1955 vol 539 c1146
26. Mr. Woodburn

asked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation when work is likely to proceed on the improvements of the Glasgow-Stirling road; and what estimate he has made of the time required to complete the work.

Mr. Boyd-Carpenter

A commitment of £1,171,777 was made last year for the whole length in Dunbartonshire. A contract is about to be let for the first section. It should be completed in 18 months. Work on two further sections will start during the next 12 months and further work of a value of £1 million will be committed later.
