HC Deb 21 October 1954 vol 531 c1362
16. Mr. Steward

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will make a statement on the recent Washington meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development.

The Economic Secretary to the Treasury (Mr. R. Maudling)

My right hon. Friend and I were glad to have the opportunity of taking part in the recent meeting of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and the International Bank. These meetings afford a valuable opportunity to review the performance of the institutions and world economic prospects.
