asked the Minister of Agriculture whether an adequate alternative to the gin trap has yet been found.

The Humane Traps Advisory Committee has examined a number of traps, and the more promising of these will be tested during the next few months. It would be premature to expect the Committee to express a considered opinion as to the merits of these traps at present.
