Gentleman has stated that the only difficulty in dealing with this matter is that of drawing a line and defining hardship, does not the proposal contained in this Question indicate a method by which the problem could be dealt with satisfactorily? Will the Chancellor look at it again and, if there is a doubtful case, always give the recipient the benefit of the doubt?

§ Mr. ShurmerIn view of the concession made by the Chancellor this year to a small section of the community—ho very much appreciated it—ill the right hon. Gentleman consider the whole question of taxation and try to give more sections of the community some concession in regard to post-war credits?
