HC Deb 11 November 1954 vol 532 c1397
48. Mr. A. Evans

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what conclusion has been reached on the control of immigration from British overseas countries.

Major Lloyd-George

I regret that I am not yet able to add to previous answers on this subject.

Mr. Evans

Can the right hon. and gallant Gentleman say when we are likely to receive the Government's conclusions?

Major Lloyd-George

I cannot give a date but I hope to make a pronouncement soon. I am sure that the hon. Gentleman will appreciate that this is an extremely complex and difficult subject.
