asked the Minister of Education how many independent schools have been inspected and reported on under the arrangements announced in Circular No. 196.

Mr. Stewart

Is the right hon. Lady satisfied that the effect of the arrangements under the circular in keeping up the standard of education in these schools is commensurate with the expense entailed to her Department?

Miss Horsbrugh

Yes, Sir, I certainly think that the arrangements are very well worth while.
