§ 23. Mr. Hurdasked the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation if he has reached a decision on the order for the regulation of traffic in the centre of Newbury following the inquiry which was held as long ago as 8th October last.
§ Mr. MolsonYes, Sir; the councils concerned have been informed, and I am also writing to my hon. Friend.
§ Mr. HurdWill my hon. Friend say whether a delay of seven months in settling this quite small matter was due to a recognition in his Department that the only real solution to congestion in 383 Newbury is to have the completion of the by-pass which has long been projected?
§ Mr. MolsonThe delay has been due to the fact that it is an extremely complicated case which had to be very very carefully considered.
