§ 43. Mr. Walker-Smithasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether, in view of the fall of Dien Bien Phu, he has made, or will make, representations at Geneva as to the desirability of prompt and satisfactory arrangements in respect of wounded and prisoners and of the alleviation of suffering generally, both in the interests of humanity and of the creation of a climate favourable to the re-establishment of peace in Indo-China.
§ Mr. Selwyn LloydAs my hon. Friend will, no doubt, have seen from today's Press, arrangements are now being discussed for the evacuation of the seriously wounded from Dien Bien Phu. My right 1231 hon. Friend has done what he can to initiate and support proposals designed to alleviate the sufferings of the sick, wounded and prisoners.
