Joynson-Hicks)The Fuel Research Station is broadly concerned with basic research and the Chief Scientist's Division with the development and application of new knowledge to current and future practice. The closest liaison is, therefore, maintained between the two bodies; they collaborate at all points of common interest, and their programmes are co-ordinated.

§ Mr. Joynson-HicksNo, Sir, I do not think so. Their functions are different, and, also, the Fuel Research Station undertakes work for other people as well as for the Minister.
